Strozzapreti is one of our favourite regional pastas! The name literally means 'strangle the priest'. Priest-stranglers apparently got their name when they were originally made for priests who found them so delicious they couldn't eat them quickly enough and ended up choking! They are rolled with a twist that looks like a rope!
Strozzapreti go nicely with pesto, tomato sauces with or without meat and mushroom sauces.
