Pinot is made from red Pinot Noir grapes which were hand picked and whole-bunch pressed (so that the juice bears only a hint of colour) at the Albourne Estate in Sussex.
The Burgundy clone Pinot Noir grapes used for this wine performed well in 2015, reaching good levels of ripeness. The main ‘tell-tale’ of the cooler year is the colour – a paler, soft rose tint compared to the more vibrant pink tinge of 2014.
This wine has a lovely texture and excellent length. Currently exhibiting very delicate aromas (cherry blossom, redcurrant, lime), this wine will open out with more time in bottle.
