This Peranakan spice paste is a vibrant and aromatic, with the fragrance of lemongrass and golden turmeric. Rempapa spice pastes are traditional cooking bases for curries, stir-fries, or marinades.
About the Producer
Rempapa was founded by a food-loving duo: Shu, southeast Asian food writer and cookbook author; and Olly, a chef-turned-food buyer who saw a gap on the shelves for easy, exciting flavours outside of the standard repertoire of Thai/ Indian. Rempapa is born from the word 'rempah', or 'spice pastes' in Malay - the aromatic base for curries, marinades and stir-fries. Our spice pastes are carefully developed from time-tested family recipes, with no added preservatives.
Prep & usage
Fry 2 tablespoons of the paste till fragrant and add 200ml of coconut milk and a big pinch of salt. Rempapa can also be used as a marinade or flavour booster for your stir-fries.
Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, refrigerate and use in 2 weeks.
