This hamper includes the following cheeses (approx. 100g each):

  • Caciocavallo della Piana - cheese on horse-back is a typical cow’s milk cheese from southern Italy, a type of stretched-cured cheese (like mozzarella) which helps preserve the cheese for longer. Firm, mild in flavour and smooth in texture. Versatile in many type of cooking, a firm favourite for slicing (like an apple) for panini, incredible grilled, melted in baking or paired with a sweet chutney.

  • Pecorino Monteporo - cheese aged 3 months and has great balance of sweet and tart/tang flavours with that unmistakable lanolin scent common to most sheep’s milk cheeses. Monteporo is also moister than most aged Pecorinos giving it great mouth feel.

  • Pecorino Classico Rigato - fresh cheese with a minimum maturation period of 15 days. It is characterised by a soft and compact paste and a sweet and delicate taste. Excellent as a table cheese, it is also recommended to use it in the preparation of first courses.

  • Pecorino Calabrese - one of the most famous Italian cheeses, this cured pecorino with a bright ivory colour, its flavour is at once sweet and salty, and lightly sharp. Perfect as an unexpected addition to your next antipasto board or grating over tomato-based pasta dishes for extra zip.

  • Pecorino Affinato alle Vinacce - pecorino cheese seasoned for 60 days in oak caskets, wrapped in grape marc and grape must with a pleasant bitter-sweet aroma that is typical of wine.

  • Campagnolo - Italian sheep's milk cheese with hot red chilly peppers. This cheese has a short maturing period of 4 to 6 weeks and is sweet and aromatic with a compact texture and straw-yellow colour. Enjoy on a cheeseboard or chop into salads.

  • Cured Ricotta - Salted cheese with a white paste that is left to dry in the oven, which gives it a delicious smoky flavour. Made from sheep and goat's milk, hard paste and excellent grated, served in flakes or pieces for an aperitif.

These cheeses are paired together in order to offer you a taste sensation as well as different textures and flavours. With such great variety, there is something for everyone!
