    Product Description

A must have gift containing a selection of our favourite cheeses paired with a delicious saucisson.

    This set contains:

    • 24-30 Month Matured French Comte 250g: Nutty, full or aromas and slightly crunchy, this Comte has won more medals at the 'Concours General Agricole' than any other. It has been awarded the Gold Medal for 2018.
    • Morbier 250g: A classic, rich and creamy cheese. The layer of blue ashes carries centuries of tradition and makes it so distinctive. It also won the Gold Medal 2018 at the 'Concours General Agricole'.
    • Bleu de Gex 250g: Sharp and slightly bitter, this blue cheese respects 700 years of savoir-faire to deliver its unique flavours.
    • Saucisson 400g: Produced using noble cuts from IGP Franche-Comte porks only. It has a natural casing and is made following an entirely traditional process. Perfect for the aperitif or as part of a light lunch platter. The pigs are reared outside in the French countryside.

    About the Merchant
Florent and Fabien, both from the French Jura Mountains, handpick the very best food, wine and the artisan traditions of their region. They come from a long line of farmers, butchers and craftsmen who have been producing their food with passion and running market stalls for generations. Since 2011, they have brought the flavours of their mountains to the UK and the quality you deserve.

    About Nitrates and Nitrites
Nitrites and nitrates are essential for both ensuring meat is cured fully and properly and also for allowing the complex flavours to develop. Much like sulphite is a natural and important part of wine-making - nitrites do the same job for charcuterie. They exist in minuscule quantities and so long as you don't consume mountains of cured meats every single day then you can rest assured that consuming our meats will only provide you with positive health benefits such as a strong heart and a powerful mind.
