The Great British Charcuterie Co.
A deliciously creamy blue from The High Weald Dairy in Sussex. A mild, semi-soft cheese with a mellow blue flavour and a slightly salty finish, it won the prestigious Super Gold at the World Cheese Awards 2017-2018.
The distinctive blue green veins in the cheese (created by Penicillium roqueforti) deepen as the cheese matures, and the taste of the blue becomes stronger. During maturation, the wheels develop their own attractive natural edible rind.
Brighton Blue is made by High Weald Dairy who has been named Sussex Food Producer of the Year 2012 - 2013.
It is made using pasteurised milk from their farm in Horsted Keynes, Sussex, and is suitable for vegetarians.
