Blackberries can be found growing wild throughout the UK and are more commonly known as brambles. Wild foraged blackberries have more pips than cultivars, but have a better flavour and we use a combination in our jellies. Blackberries have a low amount of pectin so the blackberry juice is combined with apple juice to achieve a good set - a perfect complement to the blackberry. This is a lovely fruity jelly that works well on crumpets, in jam tarts or with rice pudding.

Here at Jam Packed Preserves we don't like food waste. That's how we got started. We had a surplus of fruit from our allotment, and after getting the family recipe from Grandma, the first jar of raspberry jam was made. We source the best quality ingredients from British growers whenever possible. We don't just do this because we believe in supporting our communities, but it also reduces food miles, making it a much more sustainable choice.
