We harness the power of matcha's caffeine and nutrients to fuel peoples' days the better-for-you way. We've launched the UK's first matcha-powered, plant-based energy drinks and also offer the highest-quality, best-tasting, organic, ceremonial grade matcha.

Our Story

PerfectTed was founded by three best friends who fell in love with matcha – its rich cultural significance, slow-release energy, and superfood properties. Dissatisfied with the quality of matcha options in the UK, we partnered with local farms in Uji, Japan (the region renowned for producing the highest-quality matcha) to offer a more sustainable and better-tasting option.

We launched on Kickstarter in April 2021 and were 100% funded in under 24 hours. From there, we began selling our ceremonial grade, organic matcha powder via social media and supplying our matcha to partner cafes, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores around London.

In September 2021, we launched our range of completely natural, matcha-powered energy drinks in 250ml cans across three flavours — pineapple yuzu, apple raspberry, and pear ginger. Made from organic, ceremonial grade matcha, real fruit juice (never from concentrate), and sparkling British water, we’ve created a better-for-you way to fuel your day.

All PerfectTed products are plant-based, vegan-friendly, gluten-free, free-from, and 100% natural. We’re dedicated to making higher-quality, functional plant-based food & drink more accessible to all. Furthermore, we are sustainability-led with a focus on creating positive environmental and social impact.
