Our Story

When Ed Green met Subra Eassuwaren in Sri Lanka back in 2019, it was a meeting of minds. We struck upon the shared belief that business and brands have an absolute responsibility to leave a positive impact on our planet.

Greenypeeps was born and we created the 'Planet Positive Charter' that underlies all that we do as a business.

Great taste comes from respecting the earth and not at a cost to the earth. All Greenypeeps teas are organic and are sourced, selected and blended by our third generation tea masters in Sri Lanka for maximum flavour. Try the unique flavours of our mood herbal and fruit infusions for an uplifting or relaxing brew.

Greenypeeps teas are all carbon negative. We calculate the carbon emissions of every Greenypeeps product from field to cup to disposal. We then review our processes to minimise our emissions and invest in offsetting over twice the amount we produce.

All our packaging is 100% plastic free and entirely recyclable or home compostable. With every pack you buy we invest 3% of our sales into the Hiniduma Biolink programme, an important community and environmental programme in southern Sri Lanka.
