Our Story

Bemuse is an innovative drink experience offering a range of low-alcohol (0.5% ABV), sparkling meads as a refreshing alternative to wine, cider or beer. With a unique focus on low-alcohol meads, Bemuse has reinvented the style to produce a modern drink and create a pioneering drinks category.

Bemuse was founded by long-term friends Nataliya Peretrutrova and Anna Chalov. With backgrounds in business, marketing, and innovation, Nataliya and Anna were curious about how you could expand the variety of options available if you wanted a low-alcohol drink.

Consumers are looking for interesting and varied flavours, low in alcohol and sugar, and Bemuse has responded by reimagining mead - the world’s oldest alcoholic drink - for today’s tastes. Adding a modern twist to an ancient tradition, Bemuse is a deliciously refreshing, lightly sparkling honey-based drink and can be enjoyed all year round, on its own or as an accompaniment to food.

Bemuse is a curiously modern craft mead with a unique range of delicious flavours, based on traditional recipes. The drinks are made from a natural fermentation process using honey, water and yeast, infused with all natural ingredients. The result is all-natural bee-friendly beverages without artificial sweeteners, 40 calories per can and sold in 100% recycled cans.

As a responsible producer dedicated to support the welfare of bees and honey producers, Bemuse encourages people to ‘Bee inspired to drink differently’.
