The French Wine Project

The French Wine Project

We are an independent family business sourcing quality French wines from independent family producers.

Our Story

The French Wine Project is committed to sourcing quality wine from the best producers all over France. Our winemakers have passed their skills and secrets down the family line. They all have their own individual craft, producing hidden gems that the bigger suppliers often overlook.

Founder Jean-Charles Adam has a long history working in and running restaurants, so knows how to pick out a great wine. He spent 30 years in the London restaurant trade before moving back to France for 5 years with his family in tow. His time in the UK saw him working for high profile restaurants like Daphne’s, La Poule au Pot and Gleneagles in Scotland, and before he left, managing the prestigious Boundary Restaurant in Shoreditch, London, which is owned by Sir Terence Conran and Peter Prescott.

Jean-Charles helped launch and run several new restaurants over the years, and this experience has enabled him to develop his extensive knowledge of wine. Relocating back to France gave him the opportunity to place himself in the heart of the wine region and develop his passion for seeking out exceptional French wine. Living in Southwest France, with the Châteaux of Bordeaux on his doorstep, The French Wine Project was born.

Our job is to seek out these exciting producers, helping our customers feel more confident when choosing a wine. We only work directly with the vineyards and we have developed great relationships with them all. Our business is now based in Surrey, UK.
